Guidelines for Oral Presentations
Presentations must be delivered in English as translation will not be available. Presenters in topical sessions will be given a maximum of 15 minutes for their presentations and an additional 5 minutes for questions and answers. As the conference sessions are concurrent, presenters will not have the opportunity to exceed their allotted time slot.
Presenters in the plenary sessions will be provided with a maximum of 20 minutes including questions and answers. An LCD projector and computer will be available in each presentation session room.
An electronic copy of each presentation will be requested by conference organizers the day before the scheduled presentation. A room will be available for presenters to review their presentations and/or make revisions. Please contact info@communitiesofchange if you have any specific presentation needs.
Guidelines for Poster Presentations
Poster presenters will be provided with poster board numbers and a poster presentation schedule during conference Registration at Yukon College on Thursday, October 1 and Friday, October 2, 2009.
On the scheduled day of your poster presentation, please mount your poster on your assigned poster board. Please note that poster presenters must bring their own push pins and/or double-sided Velcro. Poster boards are
4 feet by 8 feet and landscape format. Please ensure that your poster fits this area. During the assigned poster sessions, poster presenters should stand beside their poster to address questions.
Proposals should be 200 to 250 words in length and clearly describe the research question(s) addressed, the methodology employed and the argument to be made.
